MARY MATHA MATRICULATION HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL was founded in the year 1998 by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) of St. Joseph Province, Kottayam and is owned by Mary Matha Educational and Charitable Society. CMI Congregation, the first of its kind to originate from Indian soil, is a religious congregation of Catholic Priests committed to the ideals lived and preached Jesus Christ. The CMI Vision of education is: “The formation of individuals into social persons fully human and fully alive” The CMI Congregation, which is the embodiment of the dreams and visions of St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara (1805 – 1871), the great educational visionary of the 19th century and the Founder of CMI Congregation, is one of the biggest educational agencies in India. It runs more than 400 Schools, 35 Colleges for higher education, 4 engineering Colleges, 2 Medical Colleges and 1 university. Mary Matha Group of Educational Institutions is well known in Theni for its student friendly atmosphere and academic excellence.
